I Love Going To Concerts

So the concert I went to was absolutely ACE.  I'm officially in love with the band Grouplove.  Like, to me, they are the epitome of what a band should be.  They got up on stage and just grooved and danced and generally had a kick-ass time up there doing something they loved for all of us in the audience, and I just wanted to go up and hug them all and tell them all that they are beautiful people and that they are one of the reasons I listen to music.

Here.  Listen to their music.  It will make you happy.  Or at least, it makes me happy.  So give it a try.

Honestly, they acted the same way on stage that they did in these videos.  They just seemed to be having an crazy awesome time.

Plus it doesn't hurt that their lead singer is attractive.  I mean damn.  He had pink hair too, at the concert.  Adorbs.

But the concert was so much fun.  Reptar, who I had no idea about before, are now becoming a new favorite.  They are like stoner music, like, the kind of music you would listen to stoned.  A little bit like MGMT.  Not that I'm a stoner (I am morally opposed to smoking weed; that is another post for another day, however.), as I am not.  It just makes me think of that genre of music.  It was really good.  You should check them out.

So were Stephie Coplan and the Pedestrians.  THEY WERE ACE.  Oh my god, she is my hero.  I love her music, and that band just has such a cool sound, and oh my god so good!!!

You should go to their bandcamp and buy their EP since I can't yet.  DO IT DO IT DO IT!!! They are so talented and they deserve everything they get.  They are better than half of the stuff on the radio nowadays, and they aren't even signed.  Get on that, yo!

And Two Door Cinema Club.  Oh my god.  I can't even begin to describe how much I love this band.  It's a lot.  Let's leave it at that.  I was dancing like a lunatic for the full hour they were on.  They were just so good!!!  I can't wait for their new album; lucky me, I got to hear two new songs off of it.  Winner winner!

So summer has started for me, finally.  It doesn't feel like it, but it is summer.  Hopefully the weather will pick up.  Here's hoping!

April 25: I'm Really Tired and This Is The Best I Can Do

I'm obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Like obsessed obsessed.  I've seen every episode of both Buffy and Angel.  And I've read the comics.  Don't judge me!

On top of loving everything about this show, I also have a huge fangirl crush on Spike.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Spike.

He's hot.  He's British.  He's punk.  He's sarcastic and hilarious.  In short, he's my dream guy.  Unfortunately he doesn't have a pulse, so that could be an issue.  But other than that, he's perfect.  In fact, I've written about my love of Spike before, so click here (CLICK ME I'M A LINK) if you want to read that.  It's not all about him, but he's there.

But I love Spike.  I really do.

In Which Jennelle Apologizes To The Three People Who Actually Read Her Blog.

So to you three, I thank you.
A lot has happened in the week+ that I haven't been around.

I've done this:
1. Got sick
2. Got well
3. Failed a History exam
4. Had to sit through a horrendous football game where Georgetown High School was creamed 24-7
5. Was horrendously cold at said football game
6. Watched my band director (mentioned before here and here and here, if not in excess, very briefly) groom my little brother into becoming a conductor.  Everyone in the band agrees that I do, in fact, have the coolest younger brother ever.
7. Got sick again
8. Ate a lot of food at Thanksgiving
9. Ate a shit ton of bread.  My cousin's girlfriend is in school to be a pastry chef type person, and she baked a billion loaves of bread and two cakes and a pie.  It's like she wants us all to be fat lards who have to roll everywhere.  But I still ate all of it.  Yum yum yum!
10. Worked on my articles for the Thought Report!  See, Lewis, I promise I'm doing them!

So yeah, that's what I've been doing.

What have you been up to, fooligans?
