Quote of the Week

Take a shower, shine your shoes/ You got no time to lose/ You are young men you must be living/ So go now you are forgiven.

So I Suck At Keeping Promises But What Else Is New, Let's Be Real.

Let's start out this post with me saying that I suck at keeping promises.  But you all should know this by now.  Seriously.  I suck at keeping promises. Never make me promise anything because it won't happen, I can guarantee it 99% of the time.

I meant to do BEDA, I really did.  I meant to do BAMF too, but seriously, life got in the way.  That sounds like the worst cop-out in the world, but it is totally accurate.  Things started happening to me, guys.  Lots of things that I haven't shared with all of you, which is weird since I usually share everything about my life with you guys.  Withholding things feels like I'm holding things ransom, which is hekka dumb, but what are you going to do?

What has been happening to me recently?  Let's think.

1. I have AP testing very soon (read: May 15.  I'm going to poop myself in fear).
2. I have SATs on May 4, and then again on June somethingth.
3. I have my driving test on May 11.
4. I have... other things too.

Okay, I'm going to stop being cryptic and just spit it out.  I am not a lonely old spinster anymore.

That might need a little more spelling out.

I have a boyfriend.

Wow, it's been nearly a month and it still sounds like I'm lying when I say that.

Anyways, that guy that I met at a St. Patrick's Day party forever ago?  Yeah, he's taken a step up in my world.

His name is Colin.  And he is adorable.

This is us at prom.

Aren't we a couple of cuties?
If you look to the right behind my head you can see our friend Mike making out with his girlfriend.

But other than that, April really has been a busy month for me.  I've been writing a lot because I am applying to a Creative Writer's Workshop at Emerson College this summer, and I'm also beginning writing for a new short play for a contest at a local theater for original writing. So that's been keeping me occupied as well.

I also have been studying my butt of for SATs and AP and I will be so glad when it is all over and I can just sit outside and photosynthesize in the sun.  You guys didn't know this, but I am actually a lizard, not a human, and I need sunlight to begin to move since I am cold blooded.

Anyways, I am beginning to realize how much senioritis has set in for me and I am not even a good portion through my last quarter as a junior.  I can't wait for summer.  It is so close.  I can taste it on my tongue, and it tastes pretty damn good.

So I may not update until after May 15, but when I do, I will let you guys know what's up with my life instead of disappearing.

Here is me not promising anything.  That way I can't let you down when it doesn't happen. I'm super clever, aren't I?

I'll see you guys around.

Love and kisses,

Jennelle

  1. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND. We're all going to live vicariously through your successful love life, eh other single blogreaders?

Oh god, I remember all of those exams. That was a terrible old time. Good luck, though. I know you'll do great!

  2. *squeeeeeee - * yeah no enough of that. But kudos on le bee-eff. I'm sure he's a lucky young man. It's not every day a man dates a girl who turns out to also a lizard. That's a win.

Un-funny joke/s aside, that's great. Does he buy you choccies? He should.

Sucks about all the work being piled up on you. I can still (vaguely) remember the feeling of stuff just piling on towards the end of school. It is not a fun time. That and trying to find out what you want to do after school at the same time... it's just a mess.

But, life really does open up after school. I'd have to say, looking back, that my late teens and early twenties went by and I had a much better time in that period of my life than any time before that I can remember. You start to slip into yourself more and become more comfortable with yourself. And you get to start making your own decisions. Not gonna lie, it's pretty balla'.

Good luck in your SAT's, AP's, IP's LOL's and whatever else it is you Americans do in final year. All the best.

  3. HE LOOKS LIKE EDDIE REDMAYNE! I first saw the picture and I was like, "Is she dancing with a blonde Eddie Redmayne!?!?!" Sounds like you're kicking butt in all areas. Congrats! :) Good luck on your exams!
