Quote of the Week

Take a shower, shine your shoes/ You got no time to lose/ You are young men you must be living/ So go now you are forgiven.

Thoughts From Places: My Bedroom

If you appreciate that title with a whole lot of nerdy glee, you make me very happy indeed.

Anyway, summer is finally here; thank Jesus Rollerblading Christ. I haven't even been off for a solid week yet due to my school systems evil '180 days' bullcrap. But, I have probably gotten more sleep in the past six days than I got in the whole school year, so that is a plus.

Lately I've been doing the whole 'Summer' thing. You know, sleeping late, eating crap food, hanging out with people...Stuff like that.

Aw, who am I kidding?

The only reason I got out of bed today was 1. I had a headache, and 2. Supernatural is on TNT at 1o. And I adore Supernatural. I'm going through all of the seasons on SideReel in preparation for Season 7 in September.

(For those of you who don't know what Supernatural is, picture Buffy the Vampire Slayer mating with an old western. Add a Chevy Impala, subtract Buffy, and add two very hot guys and you have Supernatural. No wonder I'm obsessed with it. It combines my two favorite things - fantasy/sci-fi and hot guys. Drool :)

I'm not a nerd at all.

Anyway, I was looking at one liners, because that is what I do with my spare time, besides perfecting my Irish accent and making lemon squares, and one of them really stuck out to me, so I thought that I'd share it with you.

"We are all part of the ultimate statistic - ten out of ten die." Anonymous.

This really struck a chord with me. I just had an MRI done on my head and I was freaked that they were going to find cancer or something in it (thankfully it was clean, but that still doesn't explain my headaches. More on that to come.). And that made me go all introspective about death. I mean, faced with the prospect of death, how would you react? I have no idea what I would do. I'm fifteen. I can barely remember to put shoes on when I leave the house; how am I supposed to deal with the knowledge that I am dying? (Not that I am, I'm fine!)

But just imagine it: You are given three months to live. What would you do? Where would you go? Who would you meet?

How would you make your life have meaning?

And, folks, I'm still thinking about that. How do I make my life worth it?

I guess that I have to wait and see, yeah?

Parting joke:

Why do people always assume that the stuff in soap dispensers is soap? I like to fill mine with mustard, just to teach them a lesson in trust!

Big sopping kisses to all.

Bye!

  1. I've heard horrible, horrible college stories about idiots at parties peeing in soap dispensers. Repeatedly.

Oh, by the way, I'm Drew/Boyd...sorry, bad first impression, haha.
